Hello, My name is Lynn Bartlett. I am an Ocean City MD REALTOR® and happy resident of this town of sun and fun, surf and sand. My wife and I, along with two cats and thousands of books immigrated to Ocean City from Alexandria, Virginia in 1996. The reason for our move was simple; we wanted to escape the busy, almost hectic, stress-filled big city lifestyle across the Delmarva Gateway, known as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. So, acting somewhat irresponsibly, we quit our jobs, packed up the aforementioned cats and books and hit the beach. That decision has proved to be a winning one for our whole family. My wife Allie, being an exceptional academic, quickly found a job teaching English, along with children’s literature and speech at our local two-year institution, Wor-Wic Community College, which is, located about 30 miles west of the Ocean City Maryland beaches. For fun, Allie being gifted with a terrific singing voice and, in my opinion, above average acting skills enjoys participating in Wor-Wic activities such as; musicals, comedies and dramas. For me it was whole other story. I suddenly found myself
occupationally challenged! For 13 years I had worked as a senior management and program analyst for the United States Department of the Army. I had not studied sand kicking or castle making, surfing or fishing or any of the coastal lifestyle type endeavors, which could occupy my time or even buy some cat food. However, after considering my interests, those of meeting people and looking at homes, I decided to study Real Estate. Again, it was a winning decision and one which has allowed us to enjoy many really gratifying experiences over the years. It is about those many and varied experiences that I wish to write, the people we’ve met, the places I’ve been, the many things which we have enjoyed living here in our beloved Ocean City MD – All of the fun STUFF! We love living here and I continue to enjoy meeting people through my work time (can one call it that if it’s so much fun?) and leisure time activities. We hope all of you will visit Ocean City very soon. ‘Til we meet. Best Regards, Lynn
